2004 - Rugby World Cup visit means venue changes for Swifts
The
Under 14's home match on Sunday, December 12th has been
postponed for four days and moved to another venue because
of the visit of the
Rugby World Cup to Ledbury Rugby Club's Ross
Road headquarters. The decision to move the matches
for the Under 9s, Under 10s and Under 14s was taken after
Swifts were advised by the Rugby Club that the charity
events surrounding the visit of the Webb Ellis trophy would
mean limited parking and access to facilities. As a
result, the Under 14s match on Sunday morning against
Pegasus Juniors has been postponed and will now be played
under floodlights at Ledbury Town's ground (next to the
Full Pitcher) on the evening of Thursday, December 16th -
Kick-off 7:00pm.
Sun 21 Oct
2004 - One match postponed, another brought forward
The
U14s home match against FC Phoenix was postponed before
kick-off this afternoon, following torrential rain in the
Ledbury area overnight and throughout Sunday. Coach Andrew
Hodges also said that the U14s next match, away against
Hinton had been brought forward, to Wednesday night with a
7pm kick-off. This is because of County Rugby trials which
are due to be held next Sunday morning which would have
clashed with the fixture. A date for the re-arranged
fixture against Phoenix has yet to be announced.
Sun 26 Sep
2004 - New kit sponsor
The
Under-14s' season got underway with a 1-1 against
Wellington at Ross Road, and the team are looking forward
to next week's match when they'll be unveiling their new
kit sponsored by No.1 Sandwich Bar.
